If done right, lavani songs can be sensuous as well as melodious. But this happens rarely. 'Chingari' from Mahesh Manjrekar's Antim: The Final Truth is another run-of-the-mill dance number that is meant solely for marketing and will be forgotten in a few days after someone comes up with another such number.

The song, picturized on Waluscha De Sousa, features vocals by Sunidhi Chauhan. Generally, in a lavani, the dance moves are important, but Kruti Mahesh's unimaginative and frankly boring choreography doesn't give much room for De Sousa to showcase her skills. The basic manner in which the whole song has been visualized and edited indicates that it has been added for the heck of it.

Composer Hitesh Modak's tune is quite good and he has also done a decent job in maintaining the essence of lavani in the song, but it is still missing the zing that we generally associate with the genre. Vaibhav Joshi's lyrics are passable.

Chauhan's vocals are the only silver lining here. Her voice perfectly brings the playfulness and seductiveness required for such a song.

Antim: The Final Truth stars Ayush Sharma and Salman Khan and is scheduled to be released on 26 November. Check out the song below and let us know if you are keen on watching the film.
