After passing the first Monday test, Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi (2021) managed to hold well on Tuesday as it made Rs11.50 crore nett, as per figures shared by BoxOfficeIndia.com.

This also means that the Akshay Kumar film, which also stars Katrina Kaif and has cameos from Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh, has entered the Rs100 crore club in just five days, despite Maharashtra theatres operating at 50% capacity. The film's grand total currently stands at Rs102.75 crore.

The action film has seen a drop in numbers in comparison to the Monday figure of 14.25 crore, but that is expected after a film opens big in the initial four to five days, especially during a holiday weekend.

As per trade sources, Sooryavanshi has been made on a budget of Rs150 crore. The film has time to surpass that number. But what will work in the film’s favour is the fact that there are no Hindi films lined up for release this Friday.

The next big Hindi film to be released in theatres is Yash Raj Films’ Bunty Aur Babli 2 (2021) on 19 November. The film, which is the sequel to the 2005 hit Bunty Aur Babli, has a decent amount of buzz so far.
