Actor Mohanlal, who has always given prime importance to fitness, has taken up boxing for his upcoming Malayalam movie with veteran filmmaker Priyadarshan. In the as-yet-untitled project, Mohanlal is rumoured to be playing a retired boxing champion.
In a video clip that was shared by the actor’s official fan page on Twitter, Mohanlal can be seen boxing with a trainer.

In September, Mohanlal shared a picture of himself practising boxing.
Last seen in Jeethu Joseph’s Drishyam 2, which was extremely well received by audiences and critics, Mohanlal has multiple projects ready for release such as the Malayalam action thriller Aaraattu. The project marks the fourth collaboration between Mohanlal and filmmaker Unnikrishnan.
Mohanlal had recently completed work on Prithviraj Sukumaran’s second directorial venture, Bro Daddy. He has also completed shooting for another Malayalam thriller, 12th Man which has been directed Jeethu Joseph.
Meanwhile, Mohanlal took to Twitter to announce his new project on Wednesday. He revealed that he has teamed up with filmmaker Vysakh for a project titled Monster. In the first look poster he shared, Mohanlal can be seen in the getup of a Sikh.
“Unveiling the title and First Look of my new movie Monster directed by Vysakh, scripted by Udayakrishna and produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas. The movie starts rolling today (sic).,” he wrote.

Mohanlal is also awaiting the release of Priyadarshan’s big-budget Malayalam period drama Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham. As per the latest reports, Marakkar will be out on Amazon Prime on Christmas.
