Rinzing Denzongpa, Malvika Raaj's action thriller, Squad, to be released on Zee5 on 12 November

The action thriller, Squad, which has been written and directed by Nikhil Sahay, will be released on Zee5 on 12 November.

Rinzing, son of actor Danny Denzongpa, will make his acting debut with the film, alongside actress Malvika Raaj. The makers of the film announced that the trailer will be released on 1 November. 

The poster features Rinzing at the centre, with a child by his side. Squad revolves around the battle between the nation's special forces and a little girl, who has lost everyone in her life, at the centre of it. With patriotism and emotions at its heart, Squad also has high-octane action sequences involving MiG-8 aircraft, helicopter chases and 400 soldiers in a never-before-seen climax scene that is expected will blow everyone’s mind. It is the first Indian film to be shot in Belarus.

The film has already had an international crew working on its action sequences. Kier Beck who worked on Mad Max: Fury Road (2015), camera assistant William Humphris (Quantum of Solace, 2008), and stunt choreographer, Maciej Kwiatowski (The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, 2015) are among the names associated with the project.

Rinzing said Squad has been an amazing journey. "We’ve seen everything through this film — extreme weather and logistic issues due to restrictions during the pandemic but yet we were more on top. I’m proud to have this as my debut film and it’s been an honour working with Nilesh. I am truly looking forward to the audience experiencing the spectacle that Squad is," he said.

Nilesh Sahay, who is also producing the film, said, “While we faced many challenges due to the pandemic, the film was completed without compromising on quality and I am certain that Squad will set a benchmark when it comes to action sequences in Indian films. I am happy that the film is being released on Zee5 and will reach the global audience. I hope people will find it as thrilling as it was for us shooting the film”.

Squad will also feature Pooja Batra, Mohan Kapur and Amit Gaur.
