Shilpa Shetty Kundra revealed yesterday that almost her entire household has been afflicted with COVID-19, except her.

The actress took to Instagram and revealed that her year-old daughter Samisha, eight-year-old son Viaan-Raj and husband Raj Kundra have all been infected with the novel coronavirus.

That's not all. Her mother, parents-in-law, and two in-house staff members have also contracted the virus.

In her long note on social media, the actress revealed how the past 10 days have been difficult for her and her family.

"The last 10 days have been difficult for us as a family," she wrote. "My parents-in-law tested positive for COVID-19, followed by Samisha, Viaan-Raj, my mom, and lastly, Raj. They've all been in isolation in their rooms at home as per the official guidelines and have been following the doctor's advice. Two of our in-house staff members have also tested positive and they are being treated at a medical facility. By God's grace, everyone is on the road to recovery. My tests came back negative (sic)."

In the message, the actress also mentioned that all safety measures have been taken as per the COVID-19 protocol and her family is grateful to the municipal and medical authorities for their prompt help.

She ended with a reminder to her followers to "mask up, sanitize, stay safe; and whether COVID positive or not, still stay positive mentally."

Shilpa Shetty Kundra is currently a judge on the dance reality show Super Dancer – Chapter 4. According to reports, Malaika Arora has been roped in to replace her for a few episodes as Shetty could not travel to the new location for the shoot.

The actress will be making her comeback on the big screen with Nikkama (2021) and Hungama 2 (2021). While she has been a regular presence on television in reality shows, she was last seen on the big screen in a dance number for the Sunny Deol-starrer Dishkiyaoon back in 2014.
