A day after Yash Raj Films offered to foot the bill for the vaccination of 30,000 film industry personnel, another major production house has stepped in to use its resources to help the Indian populace during the pandemic. Karan Johar's Dharma Productions will team up with the NGO Yuvaa to help amplify information useful in the battle against the coronavirus across their social media platforms.

In a statement, the production house said, "Leveraging the leads, resources and verified information of #WeAreYuvaa, we will be extending our platforms to do our bit and amplify the same. In case you have any questions, doubts or need help regarding the vaccination process in India or any mental health issue you would like to seek help for - Team Yuvaa and us will do our best to cater to the same. If you require any other SOS help, please reach out to Yuvaa on any platform as they are doing some swift and support work towards the same. Yuvaa, co-founded by Nikhil Taneja, director Anand Tiwari and Amritpal Bindra, has been involved in collating, amplifying and spreading information, resources and aid to people trying to cope with the COVID-19 pandemic.

A number of personalities from the Hindi film industry, including Alia Bhatt, Bhumi Pednekar and Sonu Sood, have stepped in to try and help people on the ground find help.

Recently, Ajay Devgn, via his NGO, and several other producers joined hands to set up a 20-bed COVID centre in Mumbai.

The second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic has wrought devastation across the country owing to the lack of sufficient healthcare infrastructure.
