The 21st edition of the New York Indian Film Festival will take place online from 4–13 June 2021. The festival will open with Prithvi Konnanura's Pinki Elli? (Where Is Pinki?, 2020) and close with Ajitpal Singh's Fire In The Mountains (2021).
Pinki Elli? follows the story of a young couple in Bengaluru in search of their eight-month-old daughter who goes missing from their house in a slum. The film was premiered at the International Film Festival of Kerala earlier this year. The film was also screened in the Global Vision segment at the 45th Hong Kong International Film Festival in April.
