Punjabi actor-singer Ranjit Bawa has been extremely busy of late. He recently announced two upcoming films — Lehmberginni and Akal De Anne — and took to Twitter to share the video of his latest song, ‘Fikr Kari Na Ammiye’, which translates to ‘Do not worry, Mother’.
In his tweet, the singer wrote that the video is based on a true story and is effectively the tale of all those young artistes who set out to achieve something in their lives and try to bring renown to themselves and their families. He has mentioned his hope that the song would give them some.

In the video, Bawa is an artiste who is asked to sign an exploitative ten-year contract. Disheartened and dejected, he returns home, where his mother consoles him and encourages him to never give up on his dreams. He ultimately finds success and expresses gratitude to his parents for not giving up on him.
Set in a rural setting, the song emphasizes the humble beginnings of several artistes, who only have their talent and dreams to rely on. A tribute to mothers, the songs’ lyrics highlight the role that parental support plays in an artiste’s struggle. The lyrics also emphasise that while the parents give us a strong foundation, it is crucial that children make something of themselves and give parents all the comforts in life.
The melodious music by Desi Crew carries hints of folk instruments and the lyrics by Babbu highlight that one must not lose heart and believe in hard work and dedication bearing fruit. The video is directed by Teji Sandhu.
