The LGBTQ love story Sheer Qorma, starring Divya Dutta, Swara Bhasker and Shabana Azmi, is set to have its world premiere at the Frameline Film Festival in June.
Bhasker on Wednesday shared the news on social media, saying, "Wooohooo! Sheer Qorma will have its World Premiere at the prestigious BAFTA Qualifying Framelines Film Festival, San Francisco! Couldn’t have asked for a better & bigger opportunity for our film! Elated & grateful!"

Made in 2020, the short film was initially to be premiered at the BFI Flare Film Festival in London back in March 2020. However, the COVID-19 pandemic ensured that the festival, and the premiere, was postponed.
Directed by Faraz Arif Ansari, the film sees Bhasker and Dutta play lovers and companions, struggling in a foreign country, while Dutta's character's mother, played by Azmi, still has to come to terms with their sexuality.
Held in San Francisco annually, the Frameline Film Festival will take place virtually between 17 June and 27 June. The festival is one of the largest and oldest LGBTQ film festivals in the country.
Ansari was thrilled at the announcement and shared it on social media.
