Salman Khan has reportedly filed a defamation complaint against the filmmaker and online personality Kamaal R Khan in a Mumbai court over his review of the former's film, Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai (2021). The actor's legal team sent a notice to Kamaal R Khan on Monday.
The Deshdrohi (2008) actor-director shared a copy of the legal complaint with his followers and seemed to imply that the suit was a sign of Salman Khan's frustration.
Dear #Salmankhan Ye defamation case Aapki Hataasha Aur Niraasha Ka Saboot Hai. I am giving review for my followers and doing my job. You should make better films instead of stopping me from reviewing your films. Main Sacchi Ke Liye Ladta Rahunga! Thank you for the case. 🙏🌹 pic.twitter.com/iwYis64rLd

However, he later changed his tune, writing that Salman Khan could have 'asked him' not to review the film. He wrote, "I said so many times that I never review film of any producer, actor if he asks me to not review. Salman khan filed defamation case on me for review of Radhe means he is getting too much affected by my review. Hence I won’t review his films anymore. My last video releasing today (sic)."

In addition, Kamaal R Khan also tagged the actor's father, the legendary screenwriter Salim Khan, writing "Respected Salim Khan Sahab, I am not here to destroy Salman Khan films or his career. I review films just for fun. If I know that Salman get affected by my review so I won’t review. If he could have asked me to not review his film So I would have not reviewed (sic)."

This is not the first time the controversial filmmaker has got into trouble for something he had posted. In 2016, he apologised publicly after director Vikram Bhatt filed a defamation case against him in a Mumbai court. Kamaal R Khan had levelled unsubstantiated allegations against the 1920 director.
In March this year, he was pulled up by the Bombay high court and restrained from posting anything online against producer Nikhil Dwivedi, and later on against director Vashu Bhagnani.
A repeat offender, he also ended up in hot water for a series of insensitive tweets about the late Rishi Kapoor and Irrfan Khan, as well as actress Richa Chadha.
Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai has been directed by Prabhu Deva and also stars Disha Patani and Randeep Hooda. The film was released online on the ZeePlex OTT platform on 13 May.
