Infected 2030 will give audiences reality check about their relationships, says director Chandan P Singh

The short film, which is set in a dystopian future where humanity is engulfed by a deadly virus, is being streamed on Eros Now.

Eros Now’s short film Infected 2030 is set in a not-so-distant dystopian future where humanity is engulfed by a deadly virus. A heart-wrenching short film written, directed and produced by Chandan P Singh, revolves around a married couple, played by the helmer and Nyorika Bhateja, who though living together are wrenched apart because of the virus.

Thanking Eros Now for helping his short film reach a wide audience, Singh said in a statement, "In a way, we are all facing similar circumstances. Our social interactions have almost vanished with no interpersonal contact other than video chats and phone calls. We are unable to celebrate festivals or go to parties or any other functions. This movie presents a different tale of a couple who love each other but are forced to stay away from each other due to this sickness. The woman has to be confined which ultimately takes a toll on her mental health, and how the couple deals with this forms the crux of the narrative. This movie will give viewers a reality check about the relationships they share with their close ones."

This is Singh's fourth short film. He has directed An Audition (2019), Time Machine (2020) and Lori (2021).
