Kadak Mitthi is the story of most households, says Abhishek Jain

OHO Gujarati’s latest web-series Kadak Mitthi is about everyday conversations between the middle-aged Mayuri and her daughter Shivangi. Interestingly, the show stars the real-life mother-daughter duo of Aarti Patel and Aarohi. 

The story deals with Shivangi, a pampered child, leaving home to go to Mumbai to pursue her career and passion. A statement from the makers said, 'Though Mayuri initially panics about her daughter staying in a new city, she gradually discovers a friendship with her daughter through their daily phone calls. Through their conversations, they bring out the bittersweet essence of life.'

Abhishek Jain, co-founder of OHO Gujarati, said, “Kadak Mitthi is a tale of most households. With the passage of time, most parent-child relationships develop into a deep friendship. Hence, I believe this series will not only connect with the audience, but also help them to revive their memories and strengthen their bonds.”

Jain directed the web-series Vitthal Teedi (2021), starring Pratik Gandhi, which was also released on OHO Gujarati. “I wish to thank our audience for the immense support and wonderful reception extended towards OHO Gujarati and our maiden show, Vitthal Teedi," he said. "We seek the same continued support from our audience for the shows we have in the pipeline.”

OHO Gujarati begins streaming the first season of Kadak Mitthi, directed by Anish Shah, today.
