RRR makers unveil intense poster of Jr NTR's character on his birthday

The makers of the upcoming multilingual action drama Roudram Ranam Rudhiram today unveiled a new poster on actor Jr NTR’s birthday.

The poster gives a glimpse into the character of Komaram Bheem, played by Jr NTR in the movie.

RRR, which has been directed by SS Rajamouli, marks the maiden collaboration of Jr NTR and Ram Charan.

Unveiling the poster, Rajamouli wrote on Twitter: “My Bheem has a heart of gold. But when he rebels, he stands strong and bold! Here’s Jr NTR as the intense Komaram Bheem from RRR Movie.”

Jr NTR said it had been a pleasure to portray Komaram Bheem and described the character as a rebel full of heart.

The producers are gearing up to release RRR in October. The film, which has been made on a lavish budget, is a fictional story set in the pre-Independence era in the 1920s though its primary characters are two real-life revolutionaries, Alluri Seetharamaraju and Komaram Bheem.

RRR, which will be dubbed and released in other languages such as Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada and Tamil, also stars Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn.

The makers had unveiled the first glimpse of Ram Charan’s character through a special video in March last year. The video introduced Ram Charan as Alluri Seetharamaraju, and going by his khaki trousers, it can be assumed he plays a cop. Jr NTR’s voice introduced Ram Charan’s character.

Last November, a video was released to introduce Jr NTR’s Komaram Bheem. The voice-over was by Ram Charan.
