Kadak Mitthi trailer: The humorous, unending conversations between a mother and daughter

It is generally believed that a web-series requires a 'deep' story with numerous twists and turns. But the upcoming Gujarati show Kadak Mitthi is an exception. It simply explores interesting conversations between a mother and her daughter.

The show will be released on the over-the-top (OTT) platform OHO Gujarati.

Mayuri (Aarti Patel) and her daughter Shivangi (Aarohi) share a bittersweet relationship, more like friends. Kadak Mitthi, which refers to a strong and sweet tea, is about their daily phone conversations. Interestingly, the actresses are mother and daughter in real life.

Mayuri and Shivangi belong to the upper-middle-class segment of society. Their conversations are unfiltered and range from calling for a plumber to scouting for a groom for Shivangi. As far as the trailer is concerned, there is constant conflict between the two. But this doesn’t make the conversations tense or serious as there is also an undercurrent of humour.

Patel and Aarohi suit their roles as mother and daughter, respectively. Though they are not seen together in any frame (which might well be the case in the show as well), their bonding is hard to miss.

Kadak Mitthi is the first web-series for director Anish Shah. The show comes right after his first Gujarati movie Dhunki (2019), which starred popular artistes like Pratik Gandhi and Deeksha Joshi.
