Raima Sen will be seen playing the pivotal character of a woman named Nyima in Amazon Prime Video’s upcoming web-series The Last Hour.

Interestingly, this is the first time in her career that Sen gave a screen test to land a role.

She said in a statement, “In all these years in the industry, I have never done a screen test. When I learnt that Amit [Kumar, director] wanted to do a screen test for my character in Calcutta, I first avoided it, as I have always had a phobia of auditions. Later, I gathered my strength and decided to do it. I thought I am never going to get this part, but, surprisingly, I got a confirmation call from him in a couple of days.”

Saying she was very happy to land the role, Sen continued, “With all my work, I’ve always tried to understand the vision of the director and added my individuality to it, which helps me stay focused on my character. Amit told me what he expected from the character, but at the same asked me to keep it real and feel it. His guidance helped get the best out of me.”

The Last Hour is a supernatural thriller that also stars Sanjay Kapoor, Shahana Goswami, Karma Takapa, Robin Tamang and Shaylee Krishen. Amazon Prime Video will stream the show online from tomorrow.
