Actor-turned-producer Dev Adhikari's restaurant Tolly Tales — in collaboration with Sadarni Paramjit Kaur Medical Trust — has started a free takeaway meal service for COVID-positive patients in Kolkata and surrounding areas.
Adhikari, a member of the Trinamool Congress party who represents the Ghatal seat in Parliament, took to Twitter to share the news on Tuesday.

The operation began yesterday when 50 takeaway meals were served. Adhikari mentioned on Twitter that the number of meals served would gradually be increased.
Last year, during the lockdown, the actor extended a hand to migrant workers stuck at the Nepal border and also contributed financially to the setting up of a COVID facility at Ghatal.
