Coronavirus update: Gaurav Chakrabarty, wife Ridhima Ghosh test positive for COVID-19

Actor Gaurav Chakrabarty and actress Ridhima Ghosh, his wife, have both tested positive for COVID-19 and isolated themselves at home.

Ghosh lost her mother to the disease last month while Chakrabarty’s maternal grandmother died of COVID-19 just two days ago in Delhi.

Chakrabarty put up a post on Instagram with updates about his and his wife's health. He also expressed solidarity with all those affected by COVID-19 and are going through a tough time, saying, “I want you to know that you are not alone. We might be in different boats, but we are all braving the same storm.”

Ghosh’s father, too, had tested positive for COVID-19 and required continuous oxygen support for a few days, but he is now showing signs of recovery. Last month, Chakrabarty’s mother, actress Mithu Chakraborty, too was infected, but she recovered.

Ghosh put up a heart-wrenching post dedicated to her mother Rima Ghosh and expressing her solidarity with all those who have lost their parents in the pandemic.

Chakrabarty also expressed gratitude to those who have come forward at the risk of their own lives to help COVID-affected people in distress by arranging medical and other essential aid.
