Shooting commences for Planet Marathi web-series Jobless

After Hing, Pustak, Talwar, Planet Marathi, a Marathi OTT platform, has announced another seven-episode crime thriller web-series titled Jobless. Shooting for the new series commenced recently in Pune.

The web-series marks the digital debut of actor Suvrat Joshi, who is playing the protagonist. The series will also star Mayuri Wagh, Pushkar Shrotri, Swapnali Patil and Harish Dudhade.

Joshi took to Instagram recently to announce the series. He shared a photo of himself with a clapperboard and a lengthy caption.

"Good morning. I am so happy to announce my association with this extremely intriguing crime thriller. After so many years I am feeling nervous and challenged because of the role. "Jobless" is a seven-part crime thriller set in Pune. It will be showcased on the world's first-ever Marathi OTT platform "Planet Marathi". Wish me luck (sic)," he wrote. 

Jobless revolves around a middle-class man who gets stuck in a web of crime because of one mistake. The more he tries to extricate himself from this dangerous situation, the deeper he gets pulled into the underworld. 

Speaking about the project, Planet Marathi's head Akshay Bardapurkar said in a statement, "Jobless is a crime thriller that will show how one wrong decision can destroy someone's life. it will give the audience that edge-of-the-seat experience and will keep them glued to their seats till the end."

Jobless, which is being produced by Amit Baiche, Sripad Dixit, Kshitij Kulkarni and Pinak Badve, will be helmed by Niranjan Patki.
