Veteran actress Neetu Kapoor has confirmed reports that her son Ranbir Kapoor has tested positive for COVID-19.
Neetu shared a picture of Ranbir on Instagram on Tuesday and wrote, “Thank you for your concern and your good wishes. Ranbir has tested positive for Covid-19. He is on medication and recovering well. He is in self-quarantine at home and following all precautions.”
Since last month, Maharashtra has been seeing a rise in COVID-19 cases.
On the work front, Ranbir is currently shooting Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra with Alia Bhatt. His film Shamshera, which is being backed by Yash Raj Films, is all set to be released on 25 June.
The actor also has Animal with Sandeep Reddy Vanga, whose last film Kabir Singh (2019) was a surprise blockbuster. Also starring Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol and Parineeti Chopra, the film will be released on Dussehra 2022.
Ranbir also has an untitled film with filmmaker Luv Ranjan in the pipeline. This project will see his first collaboration with Shraddha Kapoor. It is slated to be released on 18 March 2022.
