After providing music for the Marathi historical saga Fatteshikast (2019), composer Devdutta Manisha Baji is now all set to present a single titled ‘More Piya.’

The song, a fusion of the electronica and chillstep genres, will be sung by Asad Khan. The singer is known for crooning the track ‘Mausam And Escape’ from AR Rahman’s iconic album and Oscar-winning Slumdog Millionaire (2009). Anandi Joshi, who has performed various songs for Marathi and South Indian films, will join Khan on vocals.

‘More Piya’ has been written by Baji but it also features lines in the Braj language by Shruti Kulkarni.

Speaking about the song and the experience of working with Khan and Joshi, Baji said in an official statement, “I consider my good fortune to have got a chance to do this song with Asad Khan and Anandi Joshi. My aim of coming up with a different genre of music on the international stage is being fulfilled by this song.”

Baji has also composed songs and background music for the upcoming historical Jungjauhar. The film is the latest instalment in the Shivaji Maharaj series by the director of Fatteshikast, Digpal Lanjekar.
