The shoot of Madhur Bhandarkar’s India Lockdown ended on 7 March. The movie, which was shot in Mumbai and Pune, looks at the effects the coronavirus-induced lockdown had on people from various walks of life in India.
India Lockdown, which went on the floors on 23 January, has an ensemble cast of Sai Tamhankar, Prateik Babbar, Shweta Basu Prasad, Prakash Belawadi, Aahana Kumra, Zarin Shihab, former Miss India International Ayeesha Aiman, Hrishita Bhatt, Saanand Verma and Satvik Bhatia.
Bhandarkar said in a statement, “With such amazing actors by my side, it has been a memorable experience. The post-production will start soon.”
India Lockdown is being produced by Bhandarkar Entertainment and PJ Motion Pictures.
Pleased to see the shoot getting over on time, producer Pranav Jain of PJ Motion Pictures said, “I was pleasantly surprised to see the shoot getting over in a perfectly planned manner in these difficult times. Working with Madhur, his team and the whole cast has been a wonderful experience.”
Known for making films rooted in reality, Bhandarkar’s last feature film Indu Sarkar (2017) was based on the hardships faced by the people of India because of the Emergency.
