Jhimma teaser: Women from different backgrounds take a trip to England

The makers of Jhimma have released the first teaser of their woman-centric film, which shows how a few women come together and plan a trip to England, on International Women's Day.

From an orthodox housewife (Nirmiti Sawant) seeking permission from her husband to a free-spirited youth (Sayali Sanjeev) who goes against her family's wishes to a mother-daughter duo (Sonalee Kulkarni and Suchitra Bandekar), the diverse group explores the country along with a young travel guide (Siddharth Chandekar). 

The teaser doesn't reveal too much about the story but anyone who has seen enough of these films can guess how the story might pan out. Marathi cinema has had its fair share of women-centric films but most of them are centred on social issues while Jhimma seems to have taken a different route by opting to be a pure entertainer. 

Jhimma has been directed by Hemant Dhome and written by Iravati Karnik.
