On the eve of International Women's Day, Amazon Prime released the first look of Sonakshi Sinha's OTT debut, in which the actress plays a tough cop.

The tweet read, "There's no limit to what women can accomplish. Our collective belief in this has only been reinforced time and again. And on the eve of Women's Day, we're taking things up a notch!"

The series, initially titled Fallen, will be helmed by Reema Kagti and Ruchika Oberoi. The project features Sohum Shah, Gulshan Devaiah, and Vijay Varma

The series is being produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar's Excel Entertainment in association with Zoya Akhtar and Kagti's Tiger Baby.

Kagti said in a statement, "Sonakshi is an actor with the ability to seamlessly fit into every character she plays. She plays a tough cop in the series, and it is a delight to see her sink her teeth into the skin of the character. I’m excited to collaborate with Amazon Prime Video once again and truly looking forward to bringing this show to audiences across the world."

In February 2020, Sinha had said, "It is a great end to the year. I am very fortunate that I got to be part of four different kinds of films. For me, as an actor, it was a fulfilling and satisfying thing."

While the series went on the floors in 2020, the production was stalled due to the pandemic. The series was completed after the lockdown was lifted and will be streamed on Amazon Prime's OTT platform.
