7 Kadam trailer: Father and son are pitted against each other in this web-series about football

Ronit Roy and Amit Sadh play a father and son who are pitted against each other in Eros Now's upcoming web-series 7 Kadam.

Set in Kolkata, the trailer introduces us to the eastern city's fabled football culture. Roy's character was once a reputed player whose career was ended by an accident. Now he wants his son Ravi (Sadh) to fulfil his dreams and become the world's best player.

When Roy gets an offer to become coach of the district team Asansol 11, he enlists his son in the team. But his son, who also wants financial stability, accepts a job as a government officer and decides to play for the opposite team, Kolkata Bagan.

Family conflict, romance, high-octane training montages, the trailer has all the familiar tropes one associates with an Indian sports drama. The only gripe is that it reveals too much information about the film's major plot points.  Sadh, who has been a regular face on OTT in the past couple of years, looks perfect for the role.

7 Kadam has been written and directed by Mohit Jha and also stars Deeksha Seth and Rohini Banerjee. Eros Now will stream the web-series from 24 March. Watch the trailer below and let us know if you are keen to watch 7 Kadam.
