The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) today detained actor Ajaz Khan on his arrival in Mumbai for questioning. The actor is being detained in connection with a continuing investigation into the alleged drug cartel in the film and television world.
Khan was detained immediately on arrival at Mumbai airport from Rajasthan and questioned for eight hours. The Indian Express newspaper's website quoted an unnamed NCB officer confirming Khan's detention after his name reportedly cropped up during the questioning of a recently arrested peddler.

The actor has previously been arrested on two occasions for allegedly offensive posts on social media, which he duly apologized for and later took down.
The NCB has questioned several prominent members of the Hindi film industry following the death by suicide of actor Sushant Singh Rajput in June last year. The bureau has been investigating several drug dealers to find out whether they have links with members of the film industry.
