Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari to make OTT debut with SonyLIV’s Faadu


The filmmaker also has a couple of films lined up in the form of Ghar Ki Murgi and a biopic on Sudha Murthy titled Murthy.

Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari is the latest Hindi filmmaker to be making her digital debut. She will be directing a web-series titled Faadu for the over-the-top (OTT) platform SonyLIV. The cast of the show produced by Studio Next has been kept under wraps.

A statement from SonyLIV said, “Known for her insightful stories and bringing memorable characters alive on screen, Ashwiny's next is one such unique, intense, poetic love story between two different thinking characters.”

Speaking about her OTT debut, Tiwari said, “I wanted to tell a unique story that will challenge my brain, allow me to dive deeper into building new dimensions of characters, paving a new grammar of storytelling for a new-age audience.”

About her association with SonyLIV, she added, “I am looking forward to debut with SonyLIV who are always finding innovative ways to set world-class benchmarks for themselves and the creators. We have shared similar passion and excitement over the years when it comes to the stories we want to say, and taking a similar journey forward, this unconventional screenplay and long format medium will surely make me learn, think on my toes and hopefully stir hearts with its relatable concept.”
