Solanki Roy to make film debut in Jisshu Sengupta-starrer Baba Baby O

Popular television actress Solanki Roy, who is known for her performance in Prothoma Kadambini, will make her film debut in Baba Baby O, which stars Jisshu Sengupta.

A Windows Production House film, Baba Baby O is being directed by Aritra Mukherjee. The film has been written by Zinia Sen. The filmmaker and screenwriter previously worked together in Brahma Janen Gopon Kommoti (2020).

The makers posted a video introducing Roy's character on social media yesterday. The clip features Sengupta as Baba (the father), who has his hands full, trying to introduce ‘O’, the third person in their life.

For the first time, a Bengali film will tell the story of a man who fathers twins through surrogacy. In the film, Bini (Roy) plays a character who doesn’t get along well with children.

The actors started shooting for the film on 2  March. According to a report by Anandabazar Patrika, Roy will play the lead in two upcoming films backed by Windows Production House.
