Coronavirus update: Aamir Khan tests positive for COVID-19, goes into self-quarantine

The actor is the latest major industry personality to fall prey to the virus after Kartik Aaryan tested positive yesterday.

Amid the alarming rise in coronavirus cases across Mumbai and Maharashtra, actor Aamir Khan has tested positive for COVID-19.

The actor's spokesperson released a statement that read, "Mr Aamir Khan has tested positive for COVID-19. He is at home in self-quarantine, following all the protocols and he’s doing fine. All those who came in contact with him in the recent past should get themselves tested as a precautionary measure. Thank you for all your wishes and concern."

The actor is the latest major industry personality to fall prey to the virus after Kartik Aaryan tested positive yesterday. Khan's 75-year-old Marathi teacher, Suhas Limaye, died in September last year due to COVID complications.

Khan was recently seen in the song 'Harr Funn Maula' for the film, Koi Jaane Na, alongside Elli Avram. The actor is also readying for his upcoming film, Laal Singh Chaddha, which is scheduled to be released on 25 December.
