Rumy Jafry’s Chehre, which will see Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi facing off, has generated a lot of buzz among cinema-goers.
The film is also a landmark for actress Krystle D’Souza. After working in the Hindi television sphere for close to a decade and a half, she is finally making her big-screen debut with this movie. So, naturally, it was a big moment for her to rub shoulders with the legendary Bachchan.
Recalling her first meeting with the veteran actor, D’Souza said in a statement, “I can never forget that day. It feels like just yesterday. I went up to him and introduced myself and he introduced himself back and I said, 'of course I know!!!' He was so warm and welcoming and so jovial at the same time.”
Working with Bachchan was smooth for D’Souza but it was an emotional moment for her mother. “We did a few line rehearsals and went straight into the take while my mom stood in a corner teary-eyed!” added the actress.
D’Souza is seen in the trailer of Chehre but nothing much has been revealed about her character. Produced by Anand Pandit Motion Pictures, Chehre also stars Annu Kapoor, Dhritiman Chatterjee, Raghubir Yadav and Rhea Chakraborty.
The film will be released in theatres on 9 April.
