Sanjay Gupta’s gangster film Mumbai Saga has performed decently at the box office.

The John Abraham and Emraan Hashmi film registered an opening collection of Rs2.75 crore nett on Friday, as per figures shared by BoxOfficeIndia.com.

While the film saw a slight dip on Saturday, raking in Rs2.25 crore nett, it amassed Rs3.50 crore nett on Sunday. This is the most impressive collection a film has registered in a single day in post-lockdown times.

The total box-office earnings of Mumbai Saga currently stands at Rs8.50 crore nett. As per trade sources, the film has been made on a budget of Rs45-50 crore, and it doesn’t look like it will surpass that number.

But considering the alarming rise in COVID-19 cases and the 50% occupancy rule imposed on cinema halls across Maharashtra and some other states, the film has done decently.

Meanwhile, Roohi, starring Rajkummar Rao, Janhvi Kapoor and Varun Sharma, had an average second weekend, earning Rs2.55 crore nett.

The Hardik Mehta-directed horror-comedy has, till now, made Rs17.98 crore nett. The movie was made on a budget of around Rs30 crore.
