Writers are a complicated lot, and Kunal Kapoor gets a chance to step into the shoes of a litterateur in Amin Hajee's Koi Jaane Na (2021). Written and directed by Hajee, the film will feature Amyra Dastur, Ashwini Kalsekar and Achint Kaur.

Kapoor plays Kabir Kapoor, a struggling author who has run out of ideas for his next novel. At his wits' end, he decides to turn to murder mysteries. In contrast to the way his mind is working, Kapoor has recently wed Suhana (Dastur), who has little idea of what her new husband is turning into. With his fiction overtaking his reality, Kabir planning out and living the life of his fictional killer.

Soon a series of murders, which bear the signature of Kapoor's murderer, occur. While the culprit is not revealed, the voiceovers seem to suggest it is Kabir whose mind has unravelled, turning him into a serial killer.

The film has largely gone under the radar, except for the surprising appearance of Aamir Khan in the song 'Har Fann Maula'. Khan has been a close friend and collaborator pf Hajee, who played the role of Bagha in Lagaan: Once Upon A Time In India (2001)

A psychological thriller, Koi Jaane Na is being produced by Bhushan Kumar's T-Series and Amin Hajee Film Company. The film is set to be released in theatres on 2 April.
