An abandoned flight, chaotic conditions, explosions and a lot of confusion define the trailer of Suraj Joshi's Flight. The disaster film, which has been directed by Suraj Joshi and stars Mohit Chadda, is set be to released on 19 March.
The trailer doesn't reveal too much but is filled with a lot of confusing plot elements. Chadda's character, a rich businessman, takes a chartered flight to Dubai. Waking up from a nap, he realises that the flight is completely abandoned, filled with blood and broken equipment. With no way to reach the cockpit, he realizes something is not going right. Meanwhile, the team on the ground is led by a character played Pavan Malhotra. With no hijacking call given, a mysterious change in flight plan seems ominous.
Throw in some crashes, explosions, and a few one-liners, and you have an action-packed trailer. The only flaw is the poor delivery of the lines and the lack of realism in the special effects. Considering the trailer takes place on a plane, VFX work is a given. But the trailer reveals a lot of elements that deserve more careful work.
The plotline seems to have some elements in common with the infamous Malaysian Airlines Flight 370, which disappeared in similar circumstances. Incidentally, the trailer maintains the suspense by not revealing any villain or a hijacker. The trouble though is that this suspense is diluted by the unnecessary one-liners that are forced into it.
Check out the trailer below, and let us know if you're keen on watching the film.
