The actor had previously played supporting parts in web-series and films.

Rohit Chaudhary has previously acted in films like Bareilly Ki Barfi (2017), Jabariya Jodi (2019), the Amazon Prime web-series The Forgotten Army (2020), Hotstar's Kanpuriye (2020) and Bahut Hua Sammaan (2020). The actor can now be seen in the SonyLIV romantic-thriller Love J Action which began streaming from 12 March. The web-series, helmed by Saurabh Tewari, also stars Anud Singh Dhaka, Kangan Baruah Nangia and Puru Chibber.
Talking about his part in the thriller, Chaudhary said, “The character I'm playing comes from that section of society which is unprivileged due to finance, illiteracy, caste and many [other factors]. So he comes from that background and what makes this character interesting is that he wants respect and is in a state of mind to take revenge due to the injustice he has faced.”
In his previous roles, the actor was often typecast as the hero’s friend. This is the first time he has stepped up to play more of a lead role.
“[The] industry very conveniently places you in a particular character such as hero's friend or comic relief,” he explained. “So before Love J Action, the characters I have played are of these two categories only. Either I'm playing the hero's friend like in Bareilly Ki Barfi, The Forgotten Army, Kanpuriye or a comic relief in Bahut Hua Sammaan. This series is a first where I'm playing one of the leads, hence it prompted me to take up the character.”
Sharing more details about the series, he said, “[Love J Action] is a romantic thriller. This series is about a small-town love story, where there is a typical smart boy Jackson and a beautiful girl Kamya. The guy falls in love with Kamya, though Kamya is already engaged with [Superintendent of Police Abhay Anand], but then also she has a soft corner for Jackson. Due to which they plan to run away from the city and how the story goes interesting with this factor is what the series is all about.”
