When Amit Sadh found it difficult to be rude to Ronit Roy in 7 Kadam

Amit Sadh plays Ronit Roy’s son in Eros Now’s Hindi web-series 7 Kadam. The show sees Roy play a veteran football coach while Sadh plays a fiery football player.

The plot required Sadh to be rude to Roy on screen. This was a challenge for him because of the respect he has for the senior actor.

“I have always had an immense amount of respect for Ronit sir from the time I have known him as an actor," Sadh said in a statement. "I would always say to him that I can’t be rude or disrespectful to you on screen, but he made me so comfortable with his gestures and taught me to forget everything and just be in my character when the camera is rolling.”

Highlighting Roy’s contribution in him coming on board, Sadh added, “Ronit sir and I share an unshakeable relation and 7 Kadam shows that clearly. In fact, Ronit sir was one of the major reasons I signed up for 7 Kadam. It has been an absolute delight to shoot with him.”

7 Kadam is the directorial debut of Mohit Kumar Jha. The show is an emotional saga that revolves around the sport of football and is set in Kolkata. 7 Kadam will be streamed on Eros Now from 24 March.
