Rhea Chakraborty was, is and will always be a part of Chehre, says Anand Pandit

There was speculation about the actress no longer being a part of the film after she wasn't seen on a poster.

The new poster of Rumy Jafry’s Chehre was released last month but Rhea Chakraborty was the only cast member not to be seen on it, which raised questions as to whether or not she would be seen in the film.

Chakraborty has been embroiled in controversies following the death by suicide of her boyfriend, filmstar Sushant Singh Rajput, last June.

She was earlier probed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in a money-laundering case related to Rajput’s death. Following this, she was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in a drug-related angle and was later released on bail.

While her blink-and-you-miss-it appearance in the trailer of Chehre, which was out some time ago, debunked rumours, producer Anand Pandit has also cleared the air. “There was never any question of not having Rhea in the film. She was, is and will always be an integral part of Chehre. I don't believe in getting swayed so easily,” Pandit said in a statement.

The producer said that the film's plot is unique. "It makes me happy that the film will always be remembered as the first project of Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi together. Their perseverance and antagonism in the film will surely fascinate the audience.”

Chehre will be released in theatres on 9 April.
