The announcement video of the film takes a swipe at Excel's more successful franchise, Fukrey (2013), as Jain's truck driver enjoys the scene while listening to a song from the film. Suddenly, the radio channel changes to play 'Khwaabon Ke Parindey' from Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (2011). The bigger surprise is the massive gorilla who seems to be riding shotgun with Jain in the truck. Just when Jain decides to change channels, he shows that he is the boss in this truck.
Hello Charlie is written and directed by Pankaj Saraswat, who is making his directorial debut. In addition to Aadar Jain, the film features Jackie Shroff, Shlokka Pandit, Elnaaz Nourozi, Siddhanth Kapoor and Rajpal Yadav.
