Koel Mallick-starrer Flyover to hit the screens on 2 April

Surinder Films has announced the release date for Abhimanyu Mukherjee’s film Flyover, featuring Koel Mallick in the lead.

The thriller also features Gaurav Chakrabarty, Santilal Mukherjee, Koushik Roy and Ravi Shaw playing crucial characters.

Flyover is Mallick’s first collaboration with the director of Piya Re (2018), Noor Jahaan (2018) and Teko (2019). The film is set for release on 2 April.

Of late, Mallick has been taking up films with strong female characters. She has continued with this trajectory with Flyover, in which she plays a journalist who sets out to do a story on traffic violations and gets arrested in a murder.

The actress recently played a detective in Mitin Mashi (2019) and then performed the character of an RJ and single mother in Rawkto Rawhoshyo (2020). In recent years, she has been a favourite of the Surinder Films banner.

In the poster, Mallick can be seen riding a scooty, with a few police vans in the background. Souvik Basu has done the camerawork for the film while Anupam Roy has composed the music.
