After making his mark on international television with Whiskey Cavalier (2019-20), Vir Das is set to join an ensemble cast in director Judd Apatow's upcoming Netflix project, The Bubble. Written by Apatow and Pam Brady, the film is a comedy where a bunch of actors and comedians are stuck in a pandemic-induced bubble.

The show boasts of a huge cast including Karen Gillan, Iris Apatow, Fred Armisen, Maria Bakalova, David Duchovny, Keegan-Michael Key, Leslie Mann, Pedro Pascal, and Peter Serafinowicz.

Samson Kayo, Rob Delaney, Guz Khan, Galen Hopper, and Maria Bakalova are also part of the project, which will be produced by Apatow. Barry Mendel, Pam Brady and Donald Sabourin will be executive producers.

Confirming the news, Das said, “I have been shooting for this for a bit now and I’m very excited to be part of this mega comedy project. Everyone on this cast is immensely funny and we're making something special."

This will be Das's third project to be streamed on Netflix after the lockdown comedy series Inside Out and the thriller Hasmukh (2020).
