SonyLiv to depict conspiracy behind 1993 Mumbai bomb blast in Kathmandu Connection

This is the OTT platform's second web-series set in the 1990s after the popular Scam 1992.

SonyLIV has unveiled the teaser of the upcoming espionage thriller web-series Kathmandu Connection. The series will explore the conspiracy behind the 1993 Mumbai bomb blast.

In this short teaser, we are told that kidnap of a hotelier, the murder of a 1993's bomb blast investigative officer, and the stalking of a journalist, all have a connection with Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. All three incidents take place within a few months. 

The web-series will star Amit Sial, Gopal Datt, Aksha Pardasany. The official synopsis of the show reads: Set in 1993, Kathmandu Connection features the Mumbai blasts that jolted the country and left many shocked. The series deals with what transpired during the mishap. It will also show how something unknown was brewing beyond the border while the entire nation was hustling with the aftermath of the blasts.

This is SonyLiv's second web-series set in the 1990s after the popular Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story. Kathmandu Connection is expected to be premiered in April.
