The makers of Puaada, starring Ammy Virk and Sonam Bajwa, have announced that the project will be released on 2 April, making it the first Punjabi film to release after the lockdown. The film's title roughly translates to ‘panga’ and it is likely to be a romantic comedy.

Puaada was initially slated to be released in the summer of 2020 but was pushed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Filmmakers and theatre owners are hoping that audiences will return to cinema halls once again and with a family entertainer like Puaada, the chances of that seem relatively high. The actors have also been creating a buzz about the film on social media, sharing the poster and now the recently launched trailer.

Produced by A&A Pictures and Brat Films, Puaada marks the directorial debut of Rupinder Chahal. The producers include Atul Bhalla, Pawan Gill, Anurag Singh, Aman Gill, Balwinder Singh Janjua.

The music is by V RAKX Music and lyricists are Happy Raikoti and Harmanjeet Singh.

The film will be released worldwide by Zee Studios.
