The poster features the film's lead, Swwapnil Joshi, again looking horrified. He is caught in a headlock by some unknown person. There is blood dripping down his face which makes this poster even more terrifying. The poster also poses a question, ‘Who is Elizabeth?'
This is Joshi's first horror film, and the actor, better known for his romantic roles, is excited to be a part of this project. In a statement, he said, "I had promised my audience that I would explore a new genre this year. This film is a small step taken by me in that direction. I am very happy to get into the horror space. I am happy that I have got an opportunity to do it with my favourite people like Arjun, Kartik, and my favorite director in this field, Vishal. I am sure that we together could 'scare' the audience and make them enjoy it."
Bali is directed by Vishal Furia, who shot to fame with his hit horror thriller Lapachhapi (2017), released almost four years ago.
Speaking about the film, Furia said, "Lapachhapi was well received by the Marathi audience, proving that they love the horror genre. Appreciating that, I really want to continue making horror films for the Marathi audience and this is another such attempt.”
He added, “With a star like Swwapnil, who has been loved by the audience, on board and maverick producers Arjun and Kartik backing my second horror film, I promise to make it bigger and scarier than Lapachhapi."
Bali is set to be released in cinemas on 16 April. The horror thriller is produced by Arjun Singgh Baran and Kartik D Nishandar of GSEAMS, producers of hit films such as Mogra Phulaalaa (2019) and Bonus (2020) as well as the web-series Samantar (2020) and Naxalbari (2020, Hindi).
