The trailer of Anjan Kanjilal’s upcoming film Sahobashe shows how two flatmates falling in love and turning into soulmates. Starring Ishaa Saha and Anubhav Kanjilal, the film also addresses several taboos associated with live-in relationships and shows how our society is yet to accept two partners of opposite genders sharing accommodation without getting married.

The film also features Saayoni Ghosh, Rahul Banerjee, Debalina Dutta and Subhasish Mukherjee.

When Neel (Anubhav) decides to share a flat with Tushi (Saha), his presumable brother Piku Da (Banerjee) warns him of the obstacles that will be created by their parents in the future. While the couple seems nervous initially, Piku Da puts them at ease by assuring them they can live together as siblings and save money.

However, as the two grow intimate, problems begin to surface. Tushi gets jealous as Neel travels for an office tour with his colleague Puja (Ghosh) and, eventually, accuses him of cheating.

Both Tushi and Neel get pressurised into marriage by their parents as the latter begin to regard them as a couple without even knowing where they stand in terms of sharing their feelings and responsibilities. Neel, on the other hand, gets pestered for failing to live up to his father’s expectations careerwise.

Despised by everyone, Neel and Tushi eventually find refuge in each other and vow to support themselves on their own.

The trailer reveals the entire storyline, the conflict as well as the moments of their resolution. While the fresh cast seems promising, the snippets of the roles played by the supporting characters make the film seem predictable.

While the trailer suggests Saha’s evolution as an actress, Anubhav's performance gives viewers something to look forward to.

The music by Soumya Rit has both an urban and refreshing vibe.

Sahobashe was initially slated to be released on 12 March. However, due to the upcoming West Bengal assembly elections, the makers have postponed the release date to 30 April.
