National award-winning filmmaker Goutam Ghose's critically acclaimed film Raahgir has bagged two big awards at the prestigious 23rd UK Asian Film Festival 2021.

Goutam Ghose was honoured with the Best Director award while Tilllotama Shome, who plays the female lead, won the award for Best Actor.
The film stars Adil Hussain and Shome as two poverty-stricken individuals trying to make their way to the city to earn a living.
The festival opened on 26 May with Raahgir and ended on 6 June with The Beatles And India.
Raahgir was screened at several festivals in 2019 and was also selected for the Shanghai International Film Festival last year.
The film marks veteran Bengali director Goutam Ghose's return to Hindi cinema after 12 years. The previous Hindi film he wrote and directed was Yatra (2007).
Produced by Amit Agarwal's Adarsh Telemedia, Raahgir is yet to have a theatrical or OTT release in India.
