Sarsenapati Hambirrao teaser: Gashmeer Mahajani ascends throne as Shivaji

The makers of Sarsenapati Hambirrao have released a teaser for the historical epic. But instead of the titular character, the first teaser introduces Gashmeer Mahajani as his sovereign, the 17th century Maratha king Chhatrapati Shivaji. 

The short teaser shows Shivaji ascending the throne. Mahajani looks regal and convincing as the celebrated warrior king.

Hambirrao Mohite was a commander in Shivaji's army and later served under his son, Chhatrapati Sambhaji. His daughter Tarabai was married to Shivaji's son Rajaram. 

The film Sarsenapati Hambirrao was announced by Pravin Tarde two years ago. Apart from playing the titular role, he has scripted, narrated and directed the film. The makers are yet to announce the rest of the cast.

Sarsenapati Hambirrao is being produced by Sandeep Mohite Patil, Dharmendra Bora and Saujanya Nikam.
