Veteran actor Dilip Kumar was admitted to PD Hinduja Hospital in Khar, Mumbai on Sunday morning after experiencing breathlessness.
The news was shared via the actor’s Twitter handle. “Dilip Sahab has been admitted to non-Covid PD Hinduja Hospital Khar for routine tests and investigations. He’s had episodes of breathlessness. A team of healthcare workers led by Dr Nitin Gokhale is attending to him. Please keep sahab in your prayers and please stay safe (sic),” read the tweet.

Following this, Sharad Pawar, the chief of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), paid a visit to the 98-year-old. “Visited legendary actor Shri Dilip Kumarji at Khar Hinduja Hospital today to check on his health and treatment, with the veteran actress Smt Saira Banu. I wish Shri Dilip Kumarji a speedy recovery and good health! (sic)” Pawar tweeted.

Later in the day, another tweet debunked fake news related to Dilip Kumar’s condition that has been doing the rounds on social media. “Don’t believe in WhatsApp forwards. Saab is stable. Thank you for your heartfelt duas and prayers. As per doctors, he should be home in 2-3 days. Insh’Allah,” the tweet read.
