Dilip Kumar hospitalized again for breathlessness

This is the second time the 98-year-old has been admitted to Mumbai’s Hinduja Hospital this month.

Veteran actor Dilip Kumar was admitted to Mumbai’s Hinduja Hospital, Khar yesterday after he complained of breathlessness. The 98-year-old actor has been kept in the intensive care unit (ICU) as a precautionary measure.

Dilip Kumar, whose real name is Yusuf Khan, was admitted to the hospital on 6 June. He was later discharged a few days later

A hospital insider told the news agency Press Trust of India (PTI) that the actor's condition is not serious. “He was admitted yesterday during the day due to breathlessness. Given his age and recent hospitalisation, the family decided to take him to the hospital as a precautionary measure. He is fine. He is in the ICU so that the doctors can monitor him,” said the insider.

The legendary actor started off in the 1940s and went on to star in classics such as Devdas (1955), Naya Daur (1957) and Mughal-e-Azam (1960). His last release was Qila (1998)
