The organizers of the Dharamshala International Film Festival (DIFF) 2021 have announced that they are accepting film submissions through FilmFreeway. The 10th edition of the festival is scheduled to be held virtually from 4 to 10 November.

A statement from the festival read, “We had hoped to celebrate our milestone 10th anniversary this year in Dharamshala with our local community and extended network of filmmakers and film lovers. However, given the prevailing situation, we have decided to go online once again this year.”

Earlier this year, DIFF launched a year-round programme, which includes virtual screenings, talks and learning workshops. A Virtual Short Film Screenwriting Workshop for South Asian filmmakers from the Himalayan region is also being organised from 14 to 23 June in collaboration with Film Independent’s Global Media Makers.

The selected participants for the workshop includes people from Himachal Pradesh, Ladakh, Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Nepal and Bhutan.
