The posh boarding school St George’s is honouring senior police officer Manoj Hesi at a function when the event turns deadly. A young suicide bomber threatens the lives of the assembled students unless Hesi and the officers can unlock four codes to set them free.
Hesi, who seems to be harbouring some dark secret from his past, is ready to negotiate with the bomber but unwilling to let his past emerge. This means he will go to any lengths to keep it hidden, while a determined young cop played by Asha Negi is on his trail. He seems to even go up against a former friend who is ready to expose his sins.
Sheirgill has to go up against a ticking clock and an unknown mastermind out to destroy him, before he can save the school and himself.
The mystery-laden feature, which revolves around a hostage situation, is set for release on the same day as Zee5’s State Of Siege: Temple Attack (2021), starring Akshaye Khanna. The latter also deals with a hostage situation, and is based on real-life events.
Directed by Dnyanesh Zoting, making his Hindi cinema debut, the thriller also stars Rajshri Deshpande and Sparsh Shrivastav. Collar Bomb is due to be released on 9 July for all subscribers of Disney+ Hotstar VIP and Disney+ Hotstar Premium.
