Haseen Dillruba song 'Milaa Yun': Abhay Jodhpurkar, Yashita Sharma come together for a duet on reconciliation

The emotional song, composed by Amit Trivedi, details the rocky relationship of a newly married couple played by Taapsee Pannu and Vikrant Massey.

The latest tune from the Haseen Dillruba (2021) is a strong emotional number penned by Kshitij Patwardhan and composed by Amit Trivedi. The duet, sung by Abhay Jodhpurkar and Yashita Sharma, details the rocky relationship of a newly married couple played by Taapsee Pannu and Vikrant Massey.

While the composition isn’t path-breaking by Trivedi, Jodhpurkar and Sharma both lend their powerful vocals on the romantic ballad. It’s good to see Sharma return to mainstream Hindi film vocals after Manmarziyaan (2018), which was also composed by Trivedi.

The song speaks of the strained relationship between the characters of Pannu and Massey, Rani and Rishu, with the visuals showing the former trying her best to mend ties at home and with her in-laws. Rishu, who seems hurt, seemingly keeps his distance.

The visuals end with Rani catching Rishu speaking with another woman, which upsets her. While Patwardhan’s lyrics suggest the partners are meant for each other, the rift between the newlyweds might be too fresh to mend.

Written by Kanika Dhillon and directed by Vinil Mathew, Haseen Dillruba is due to be released on Netflix on 2 July. Produced by T-Series and Colour Yellow Productions, the film also stars Harshvardhan Rane and Aditya Shrivastava.
