Jimmy Sheirgill’s cop races against time in Collar Bomb: See poster

Marathi filmmaker Dnyanesh Zoting is all set to make his directorial debut in Hindi cinema with Collar Bomb. The film is a thriller produced by Disney+ Hotstar and stars Jimmy Sheirgill, Asha Negi and Rajshri Deshpande.

The makers said in a statement, “It’s a race against time! Jimmy Sheirgill takes on the role of a police officer in upcoming crime-thriller movie Collar Bomb. When a ticking bomb takes control of his quaint town, officer Manoj Hesi sets out to catch the evil mastermind as he tries to saves hundreds of innocent lives.”

The first poster for Collar Bomb features Sheirgill with a gun, ready for action. The last Hindi film the actor was seen in was De De Pyaar De (2019).

Zoting had made his directorial debut with the Marathi thriller Raakshas (2018) starring Sai Tamhankar and Sharad Kelkar. His next was the Marathi web-series Date With Sai (2018), which also starred Tamhankar.

Zoting’s entry into cinema happened as a screenwriter for Samit Kakkad’s Half Ticket (2016), the Marathi remake of the acclaimed Tamil film Kaaka Muttai (2015).

Collar Bomb will be streamed on Disney+ Hotstar from 9 July.
